BlueHub Privacy Policy

1. About BlueHub and Creaqua

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the BlueHub mobile application for Android and iOS (the “App”).

BlueHub is provided by Creaqua Aquarium Products San. ve Tic. A.Ş. (“Creaqua”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

BlueHub is designed to discover, connect to and control compatible Creaqua devices directly through Bluetooth.

2. Information Used by BlueHub

BlueHub does not require an online BlueHub account and, in its current version, does not transmit your profile, aquarium, hub, device configuration or scheduling information to Creaqua or to a BlueHub cloud server.

Certain information is used and stored locally on your device so that the App can provide its functions.

Depending on the features you use, this may include:

  • Profile information that you choose to enter, such as a display name and selected profile image.

  • Hub information that you choose to enter or save, such as a hub name, description, location label, aquarium dimensions, selected image, connection identifier and password.

  • Device configuration information, lighting settings, schedules, presets and control preferences.

  • Bluetooth device names, identifiers and connection information required to discover and communicate with compatible Creaqua devices.

This information is used for the operation of the App and remains stored locally on your device unless otherwise stated in this Privacy Policy.

A location name or location label entered for a hub is information provided by you and does not represent or contain the GPS coordinates of your phone.

3. Bluetooth and Nearby Device Access

BlueHub uses Bluetooth to discover compatible Creaqua devices, connect to a device selected by you and send control commands directly between your mobile device and the compatible Creaqua product.

Depending on your Android version and device configuration, the operating system may request permission to access Nearby Devices, Bluetooth functions or, on certain older Android versions, device location.

These permissions are used only as required by the operating system to enable Bluetooth device discovery and connection.

BlueHub does not use Bluetooth scanning to determine your physical location.

The current version of BlueHub does not obtain your phone's GPS coordinates for this purpose and does not transmit GPS coordinates to Creaqua or to a BlueHub server.

On newer Android versions, Bluetooth discovery may be handled through the operating system's Nearby Devices permission without providing BlueHub with access to your physical location.

4. Local Storage and Data Transmission

BlueHub stores application settings and configuration information locally on your mobile device.

In the current version of the App:

  • BlueHub does not require registration for an online user account.

  • BlueHub does not upload locally stored profile information to a Creaqua BlueHub server.

  • BlueHub does not upload hub or aquarium information to a Creaqua BlueHub server.

  • BlueHub does not upload device schedules, presets or control settings to a Creaqua BlueHub server.

  • BlueHub does not use advertising networks.

  • BlueHub does not use user-behavior analytics services for advertising or marketing purposes.

  • BlueHub does not sell personal information.

Bluetooth communication used to control compatible Creaqua products occurs directly between your mobile device and the device you choose to connect to.

If a future version of BlueHub introduces cloud services, user accounts, analytics or other features that change these practices, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

5. Website Links

BlueHub may provide links to Creaqua websites or other external webpages.

When you select such a link, the webpage is opened separately using your device's browser or another appropriate application.

Information processed by a Creaqua website is governed by the privacy policy applicable to that website and is separate from the data practices of the BlueHub mobile application described in this Privacy Policy.

6. Sharing of Information

BlueHub does not sell or rent personal information.

In the current version of the App, locally stored profile, hub, device configuration and scheduling information is not transmitted to Creaqua through a BlueHub server and is not shared by BlueHub with advertising companies or data brokers.

Bluetooth device information and control commands are exchanged directly between the App and the compatible Creaqua device selected by you.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Information stored by BlueHub locally remains on your device while it is retained by the App.

Where the App provides controls for deleting profiles, hubs, schedules or other configuration information, you may use those controls to remove the relevant information.

You may also remove locally stored BlueHub information by:

  • clearing the App's data through your device settings, where supported; or

  • uninstalling the BlueHub application.

BlueHub does not maintain an online BlueHub user account or a server-side copy of this locally stored information in the current version.

Your device operating system or a backup service configured by you may independently retain application data as part of device backups. Such backups are controlled by your device, operating system or backup provider and are subject to their respective settings and privacy policies.

8. Security

BlueHub stores profile and configuration information within the application's local storage on your device.

The security of locally stored information also depends on the security of your mobile device and operating system. We recommend protecting your device using an appropriate screen lock and keeping your operating system and BlueHub application up to date.

Bluetooth communication security also depends on your mobile device, operating system and the compatible Creaqua device being used.

9. Children's Privacy

BlueHub is a device-control application and is not designed for the purpose of collecting personal information from children.

The current version of BlueHub does not provide an online BlueHub account through which children or other users can submit personal information to Creaqua.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to Creaqua through another communication channel, you may contact us using the information provided below.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when BlueHub's features, permissions, technical architecture or data practices change, or when required by applicable laws or platform requirements.

When this Privacy Policy is updated, the revised version will include an updated effective date.

We recommend reviewing this page periodically for changes.
